Scholarship Description: The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) was established in 1966 under the auspices of Korean and US governments. The mission of KIST was to assume a central role as the first comprehensive research agency for the promotion of the nation’s economic growth and the modernization of engineering fields. It has since developed into the foremost Research and Development organization and the foundation of technological development in Korea.

Eligibility Requirements:
Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees awarded to candidates who complete the required coursework of the corresponding courses.

Thank you for your support on the scholarship! I had a blast while studying abroad in Hong Kong, and it was quite an experience being able to learn in a different environment, experience cultural differences, meet new people, and explore various regions. Not only was I able to collaborate with the locals, I also met a lot of other students and professors there from around the world. It was pleasing to share my thoughts and culture with others and learn about others’ culture as well.

There were a lot of things I had to adapt to while abroad. Among everything, transportation was the biggest difference between abroad and home.
